This style of fishing is hands-on, visual, and incredibly rewarding. Soft plastics, topwater plugs, and sonar all come into play as we hunt down migrating fish throughout Long Island Sound. It takes a little finesse, but when it all comes together, there’s nothing better than watching a big bass crush an artificial bait.

When your screen is completely lit up… you know it’s about to go down.
The Humminbird Apex was showing a MASSIVE body of stripers — stacked from bottom to surface in 80 feet of water. Top to bottom, just absolute chaos.
And the best part… they were feeding UP.
Big bass crushing topwater in open water is about as good as it gets. When you see that kind of life on your electronics.
